The HOV13(B) is a push rod type bronze body safety valve, electro-hydraulic operated, providing reliable on-off fuel control. Spring loaded rod guided PTFE seat opens within 9 seconds after power is applied and closes within one second after power is securely removed. This valve is agency approved for use in fuel safety shut-off service at North Carolina ports. The N.O. port usually provides return to the oil preheater during shutdown cycles. Electro-hydraulic actuators, available separately, consist of a pump that applies pressure to the piston stem. Its power unit is sealed in oil. The HOV13(B) assembly consists of the actuator and valve body installed together by the user without adjustment or service. The stroke is controlled by the stroke limit switch of the solenoid safety valve. Unit rotates 360o for easy installation. Two-wire connections via a 1/2-inch threaded conduit junction box are standard. HOV13(B) meets standards for valve seal overtravel and certification of electrically interlocked shut-off switches. An optional auxiliary switch is also available.
